Every time we do these robbery stories it reminds me of when I was working my way through college as a bank teller. A guy walked through the door and came straight to my window. He says "No dye packs, bait or alarms, give me all your 100's, 50's and 20's.. NOW!" Of course I do exactly as he says except I pull the bait so as to trigger the silent alarm to alert others I am being robed.
At that time procedure called for all doors to be locked after the robber left. This secures everyone involved inside so the FBI can do their interviews. What we didn't know was that this particular robbery was a double! It was like a circus!
So as one runs out the door, we secure it. The second robber didn't see this and heads straight for the door running full force into it. You just could not script this kind of thing.
The two of them were later caught and sentenced to 15 years in prison. All the one that robbed me got was $1,600. Hm mm.. $1600 or my life as a free man? Decisions, decisions... duh!
I am going to skip song of the day to share with you a little gem I found tonight. I am a dog person but how could you not love this kitty?

My mom and aunt both worked in banks until they were in robberies. Then the both began looking for different jobs.
That kitten is cute. I'm still a dog person. :)
I like dogs, even grew up with them, but I'm a cat person through and through. That kitten is adorable. Reminds me of my cat Saffron, who I play fetch with every morning.

m-m-m-mishy,
The did make me a loan officer after that. I didn't want to go back into the teller cage and they didn't want to lose me. I enojoyed it for a while but then realized I needed to work with something more creative than finances.
Creative Finance... the story of my life :-)
I love tiger kitties!
What does "pull the bait" mean?
I was exclusively a dog person until about 15 years ago when I got my first cat. Now, I have three. Cats and dogs are very different from one another, but I find both very satisfying household pets.
